This year, it's been uncharacteristically cold. The weather's been gloomy, and honestly it's making my mood that way too. But moving on, since I'm starting High School here, My parents have had a lot to do. See in Turkey, Unlike normal High Schools, you have to take this huge exam and based on your score you apply to high schools (a lot like college) which just puts a lot of stress on everybody.
It's kind of...ridiculous?
Also, since I wasn't in Turkey (I studied in Bangladesh) I wasn't able to take the exam, and foreigners seem to have an eligibility to get into the "Anodolu Liseleri" (the Anatolian High Schools) which are basically the best public schools you can get into.
Surprisingly, no one knew about this, but you need to know a foreign language (english preferred) and studied out of the country from 1st grade-8th grade.
It's all VERY ridiculous. Applications are in August, and I hope to get in being a foreigner.
Good Luck with High School.
